Grill Up Delicious BBQ Burgers to Make Mealtime Memorable

We really enjoy great burgers and like to get creative with them. Although we still appreciate a classic burger, we enjoy experimenting with different flavors and styles such as Hawaiian, Asian, Korean, and American. We especially love having gourmet BBQ burgers when we're outside.

These homemade bbq burgers have a flavorful and juicy combination of ingredients. They come with homemade BBQ sauce, sharp cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and onion strings. Additionally, the toppings can be customized to fit your preferred burger recipe.

80/20 GROUND CHUCK
To make the most delicious BBQ Burger, it's recommended to use 80/20 ground chuck instead of extra-lean ground beef. You can find ground chuck easily at the butcher counter of any grocery store. This type of ground beef is known for its superior flavor, texture, and juiciness.

Using freshly ground chuck for burgers is ideal because it has not been compressed in packaging, resulting in a more tender outcome. The freshness of the ground meat enhances the tenderness and taste of the burger.
Lean Ground Beef
If you choose ground beef, it's best to choose 80/20 ground beef which is usually beef chuck. Avoid anything with higher fat content or anything too lean as it will result in greasy or dry burgers. To ensure quality, be careful when selecting ground beef as any combination of beef cuts can be labeled as "ground beef".
Ground Sirloin
Ground sirloin is a leaner option compared to ground chuck, usually with a ratio of 90% meat to 10% fat. However, being low in fat makes it less flavorful and prone to dryness when cooked at high heat. If you prefer using ground sirloin for your burgers, you can still enhance its moisture by adding a couple of tablespoons of bacon drippings to the panade before incorporating the sirloin.
Perfect Cooking Time for BBQ Burgers on The Grill
The length of time you need to cook your patties will be determined by their thickness. Cook them for 2-4 minutes on one side, then flip the burger over and repeat the process on the other side.
Ensuring BBQ Burgers are Perfectly Cooked
To ensure your burgers are thoroughly cooked without drying them out, it's best to use an instant-read thermometer. This is the most accurate way to gauge when they are ready, with the ideal internal temperature being 160 degrees F.
